On each oil's product page there is a tab called "Combinations". There, we show a couple of oils that we think individually, in terms of scent, go well with the oil whose page you are visiting. In addition, on many product pages we give tips in the running text on specific blends you can try.
In addition, we would like to give you a few tips:
Citrus oils generally pair well with each other (such as lemon + lime), but are incredibly versatile and can be combined with most other oils. A very simple category of oils to combine that rarely goes wrong!
Get at least one base note (e.g. cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver, frankincense). They add a whole new weight and complexity to the fragrance blend that you don't really get with the perhaps more familiar oils found among the top and middle notes. An example of a base note that is loved by many is frankincense. It's great with citrus, and also goes well with floral scents like lavender and ylang ylang.
Rosemary is fresh, herbal and quite complex. It works brilliantly with citrus-scented oils, and we particularly like rosemary + lemongrass. A fresh and pleasant spa feeling is promised!
For those who are not so familiar with essential oils, we have put together three different packages of popular oils.
The smallest pack (3-pack) contains oils that smell great on their own and are among the most popular.
The middle pack (5-pack ) has the same three oils as the above, but is complemented by ylang ylang and frankincense. A popular and floral middle note, and a wonderful base note that invites fragrance blending and adds character.
The large pack (10-pack) has a well-balanced assortment of popular oils. Here you get a really nice set of oils that can be combined in a variety of lovely ways.
