Bergamot is a citrus fruit and has long been loved for the wonderfully fragrant oil found in its peel. Bergamot is one of the most common fragrances in perfume, and is also used as a flavoring for Earl Grey tea, for example. It is citrusy with herbal notes, and can be combined with many other fragrances to create a more exciting scent. It blends well with lavender and patchouli. In aromatherapy, bergamot is traditionally used for depression, sadness and stress.
